Within this research area, we will critically examine Eurocentric narratives that often celebrate the linear and universal progress of science, ignoring the dynamics of colonization, racism, and exclusion that structured the development of medical and scientific knowledge. This approach questions the centrality of Western science, revealing how Indigenous, African, and other cultural knowledge systems, which have been systematically devalued, possess the capacity to intervene in the dynamic process of producing modern scientific practices and knowledge.
