Prof. Marta Fernández, was appointed Special Adviser to the Guangdong Institute for International Strategies (GIIS), linked to the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, in China.

We are pleased to share that our Director, Prof. Marta Fernández, has been appointed Special Advisor to the Guangdong Institute for International Strategies (GIIS), affiliated with the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, in China.
This appointment reinforces the BPC’s role as a leading think tank in the Global South, strengthening strategic partnerships, international dialogue, and academic cooperation.
The work with the GIIS will be especially relevant in the context of the International Think Tank Forum of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road (2025), promoting knowledge exchange and new opportunities for collaboration between global research centers.
