On October 23, PRIME Hub, a research program of the BRICS Policy Center (PUC-Rio), will hold the 1st Seminar on Evaluation of Infrastructure Intervention, focusing on the theme “Bridging the Gap to Sustainable Development.” The event is organized in partnership the Brazilian Monitoring and Evaluation Network and with support from the Independent Evaluation Office of the New Development Bank (BRICS Bank).
The seminar will discuss evaluation practices for infrastructure interventions in Brazil and the Global South, exploring ex-ante, real-time, and ex-post methodologies. Challenges to these approaches and opportunities will be debated, along with case studies and best practices. The role of governments, banks, and civil society in integrating evaluation results into planning and public policies will also be emphasized.
