On Tuesday, November 5, professors Marta Fernandez (BRICS Policy Center) and Ana Garcia (CPDA/UFRRJ and BPC), and professor Fabiano Escher (CPDA/UFRRJ), took part in a meeting with the vice-minister of China’s State Administration of Market Regulation, Liu Jun. The vice-minister and his delegation, made up of other authorities, came to Brazil to discuss issues related to food safety and meat quality in the trade chains between Brazil and China. The professors presented their views on the challenges of sustainability in the soybean-meat complex and the potential for cooperation between Brazil and China. The meeting aimed to establish contacts and possibilities for partnerships with the BRICS Policy Center and the CPDA.
