On November 12, together with the Heinrich Böll Foundation Brazil, BRICS Policy Center researchers Paula Sandrin and Maureen Santos took part in an event to discuss the Policy Brief, co-authored with four other researchers, entitled “Fostering Climate Justice Finance in G20 Countries”. They discussed ways to promote climate justice, which includes incorporating redress and redistribution mechanisms into climate finance. Strategies for accessing funds were also considered, as well as ensuring the direct participation of civil society organizations and the need for technology transfer. Among the authors present was Luiz Henrique Gomes de Moura, representing the MST and Baobab. The Policy Brief is available online.
