
Maria Beatriz
Research assistant at the BRICS Policy Centre’s Socio-Environmental Platform. She has a master’s degree in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. She has an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the same institution. She is one of the researchers involved in the work ‘Climate Ambitions of the BRICS Countries’, of the Socio-Environmental Platform, being responsible for the analysis of Brazil. She has also worked as a collaborating researcher for Climate Tracker Latin America, in the realisation of the ‘Guide to Green Industrialisation and New Development Models in Brazil, Colombia and Chile’ and is currently Brazil’s ambassador for the ‘NDC Equity Tracker’ project of the Care About Climate organisation. Her research interests include: global climate and environmental governance; non-state participation in international negotiations; socio-environmental conflicts and climate justice in International Relations.
