Helena is currently pursuing her PhD at the London School of Economics (LSE), where she is conducting research on Brazilian South-South cooperation, focusing on its discursive aspect and the practices that emanate from it, particularly in Mozambique. She holds a master’s in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), where she developed a constructivist analysis of Brazilian foreign policy under Lula government (2003-2010). Her interests include post-development critique, neo-Gramsci, discourse analysis, and anything to do with emerging countries.
