Caroline Assis
PhD candidate in International Relations at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) (2023) with a thesis related to Chinese involvement in the energy transition in Brazil and South Africa. Master’s degree in Political Science and bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) (2012-2019). She worked as a research assistant in the Department of International Relations (Dinte) at the Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea) (2020-2022). She is currently interested in topics related to international political economy, international relations between the BRICS countries, and energy transition in Africa and Latin America.
