The board of the Institute of International Relations is pleased to announce the new director of the BRICS Policy Center, Professor Marta Fernández. Dr. Marta is an associate professor at the Institute of International Relations (IRI) at PUC-Rio, having been president of the Brazilian Association of International Relations between 2021 and 2023, and director of IRI between 2016 and 2020.

IRI thanks Professor Ana Saggioro Garcia for her work as director of the BRICS Policy Center from 2021 to 2023. Dr. Ana will remain as associate researcher and will be dedicated to the BPC’s G20 work agenda in 2023-2024.
