New agreement with the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS)
The BRICS Policy Center has signed an agreement with the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) in order to set up an interinstitutional, policy oriented research group focusing on the Paris Agreement implementation.
While identifying the perspectives of Brazilian and German agents, the BPC-IASS Study group will address following topics: climate governance and global governance; the role of the OECD in the implementation of the Paris Agreement; and China’s role in the implementation of the Paris Agreement. Besides, the partnership will lead to the publication of research papers and organization of events.
The Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) was established in 2009, in Potsdam, Germany. Their research programme currently spans five areas: Transformation of Energy Systems, Air Quality in the Context of Global Change, Sustainability Governance, Emerging Technologies and Social Transformations in the Anthropocene, and Economics and Culture.
