According to the researcher, the United States’ invasion of Venezuela highlights an increasingly fragmented international scenario divided into zones of influence of the major powers, raising questions about the extent to which this influence is limited to foreign policy or extends to the domestic politics of the countries involved.
Furthermore, the expert analyzes the possible repercussions of the action on future elections, both in Venezuela and in the United States, considering not only the negotiations surrounding Venezuelan oil, but also the potential of the measure to mobilize the Republican electorate associated with Donald Trump.
