MAPI publishes capstone in partnership with the Climate and Society Institute (iCS)

MAPI, the professional master’s program of IRI/PUC-Rio, has published a capstone titled “BRICS and Climate: Challenges and Perspectives in Global Governance”, in partnership with the Climate and Society Institute (iCS), as a final project for the course Conflict Resolution and Cooperation for Development, taught by Professor Paulo Esteves.

Under the guidance of Lucca Rizzo, Senior Specialist Leader in Climate Finance at iCS, the work of students Flávia Joanna Almeida, Hannah de Gregorio Leão, and Laryssa Nunes analyzed the climate commitments of BRICS countries and how the bloc has been addressing climate change. Finally, it provided recommendations on topics that could be included in the BRICS summit agenda in 2025, under Brazil’s presidency.
