How can the G20 collaborate with COP29 and climate finance?

November will be an intense month. In addition to the G20 meeting in Rio de Janeiro, it’s the month of COP29, the Conference of the Parties in Azerbaijan, which focuses on tackling climate change. Both events will bring together heads of state and are linked by debates on climate finance.

The BRICS Policy Center has been pushing for a reform of the international financial architecture that collaborates with climate finance, in which less developed countries have access to fair financing that doesn’t create more debts or conditionalities, but that pays attention to historical reparations.
