On April 17, Professor Marta Fernández, Director of the BPC, participated, through Zoom, in the IX Research Conference of the School of Politics and Government of the University of San Martin (UNSAM) entitled “Democracy and Inequalities in the Global South”. The title of Professor Marta’s speech was “The potentialities and limits of the Global South category to think about the enlargement of the BRICS”. The panel entitled “The Global South as a political category: meanings, uses and scope”, also counted with the participation of Clarisa Giaccaglia (CONICET, National University of Rosario), Manuel Gonzalo (National University of Quilmes and National University of Chilecito) and was coordinated by Professor Marcelo Saguier (CONICET, IIP-EPYG UNSAM). Professor Marta is a member of the Advisory Committee of the School of Politics and Government of the University of San Martin (UNSAM) since 2020.
