
BRICS Policy Center Strengthens Partnerships with Institutions from the United Arab Emirates
In recent weeks, representatives of the BRICS Policy Center participated in three major initiatives aimed at deepening cooperation between Brazil and the United Arab Emirates, reinforcing the Center’s commitment to academic diplomacy, internationalization, and dialogue among Global South think tanks.
At the invitation of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA), the BPC Director, Prof. Marta Fernández, joined the panel of experts at the Hili Forum 2024 – dedicated to discussing the challenges and opportunities of a multipolar world.
On July 9, PUC-Rio welcomed a high-level delegation from the UAE, led by H.E. Sheikh Nickolay Evtimov Mladenov (AGDA), with representatives from ECSSR, UAE University, b’huth, and other strategic institutions. The meeting focused on strengthening academic and institutional ties in areas such as International Relations, Innovation, Sustainability, and Public Policy. The BRICS Policy Center was represented by its Director, Marta Fernández, and Deputy Director, Maria Elena Rodriguez.
The BRICS Policy Center reaffirms its role as a hub for knowledge production on BRICS countries and as a platform for connecting institutions committed to building a more equitable and cooperative international order.
