BRICS POLICY CENTER SELECTED FOR THE “UNIVERSITY NETWORK BRICS”
The BRICS Policy Center, of the Institute of International Relations (IRI/PUC-Rio), is among the selected by the notice “BRICS Network University (BRICS NU), released by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and Capes. The notice aims to select graduate programs of Brazilian higher education institutions to the BRICS Network University.
12 proposals have been selected in the areas of Computer Science and Information Security; Ecology and Climate Change; Economics; Energy; Brics Studies; and Water Management and Treatment of Pollution. All chosen are top rated programs, linked to universities with programs recommended by Capes with rate 6 or 7, related to the thematic areas of the notice.
Among the activities to be performed by the selected institutions is developing, together with BRICS countries partners, common projects for masters and PhD programs, in English, within the BRICS Network University. Proposals of new courses will be submitted to Capes, according to the rules and regulations of the Graduation National System (SNPG).
