As an example, Carlos Frederico recalled that following the financial market downturn in April, Trump backtracked and announced a 90-day suspension of tariffs—except for those imposed on China. However, even with this partial truce, the remaining tariffs may still contribute to rising inflation and a slowdown in the U.S. economy.
