BRICS Policy Center researcher, Ana Garcia, gave an interview to the Observatório da Mineração

In an interview with the Observatório da Mineração, researcher Ana Garcia from the BRICS Policy Center highlighted the lack of guarantees for technology transfer in the agreement between Brazil and China for the exploration of critical minerals. According to her, China maintains control over its innovations, leaving Brazil as a supplier of raw materials. The installation of BYD in Brazil exemplifies this trend, with large investments but little shared technology. Ana argues that Brazil should demand more counteroffers to avoid becoming dependent.
