BRICS Policy Center/PUC-Rio will hold its 2026 inaugural lecture on March 9, entitled: “The Global South as an Unfinished Project: Trajectory, Limits, and Transformation of the International Order.”

The lecture will be delivered by Karin Vasquez, professor at O.P. Jindal Global University, researcher at Fudan University, and Senior Fellow at the Center for China and Globalization (CCG). It aims to reflect on the historical trajectory of the Global South, its limits as a political and analytical project, and its possible paths of transformation within the context of the contemporary international order.
