BRICS Policy Center/PUC-Rio establishes new partnership with TRENDS Research & Advisory (United Arab Emirates)

The BRICS Policy Center/PUC-Rio has just signed a cooperation agreement with TRENDS Research & Advisory, a prominent independent research center from the United Arab Emirates.

TRENDS seeks to build a network of solid partnerships with global research centers and think tanks, as well as with governmental and non-governmental organizations and institutions.

They stand out in the production of research and analysis of the geopolitical, economic, and social aspects of regional and global developments, in order to better understand the various dimensions of prevailing trends.

On April 6th, the signing of the agreement was celebrated online, with the participation of Deputy Director Dr. Maria Elena Rodriguez (BRICS Policy Center / PUC-Rio), Mr. Paulo Botta (Director of TRENDS Latin America Virtual Offices), as well as directors of TRENDS in the United Arab Emirates.

Representatives of BPC/PUC-Rio have already met with representatives of TRENDS on other occasions, such as events and private meetings, contributing to the consolidation of the partnership, now formalized.

With this agreement, the BRICS Policy Center/PUC-Rio seeks to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experiences, as well as promote cooperation among its collaborators and researchers through seminars, research, and other academic initiatives, deepening reflection on the role of the BRICS in global geopolitics, especially from the perspective of institutions based in founding countries of the group.
