BRICS Policy Center participates in conference on public debt and climate change
This Friday (09/07), the BRICS Policy Center will participate in the conference “The Relationship Between Public Debt and Climate Change in Developing Countries”, in Rio de Janeiro. The event is a meeting of T20 Brazil, the G20 engagement group that brings together think tanks and research centers, organized by the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea), in Rio de Janeiro.
Ana Garcia, a researcher at the BRICS Policy Center and co-leader of T20 Task Force 3, will be making comments at the event along with Beatriz Matos, research coordinator at Plataforma Cipó and representative of T20 Task Force 2. The highlight of the program is the talk by Indian economist Jayati Ghosh, a professor at the University of Massachusetts (USA), who was executive secretary of the International Development Economics Associates (IDEAS), an international network of economists.
