BRICS Policy Center has signed an agreement with the Southern Centre for Inequality Studies

The BRICS Policy Center has signed an agreement with the Southern Centre for Inequality Studies (SCIS), an interdisciplinary research center affiliated with the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. SCIS focuses on understanding and addressing inequality in the Global South.

The partnership was cemented after the joint webinar “Addressing Systemic Inequality Through an Urban Lens” on October 9, 2024, which aimed to discuss systemic inequality and its impact on urban areas. The agreement allows for the development and deepening of joint activities between the two entities, as well as cultural and intellectual exchanges between the parties, primarily through cooperation in scientific work and mutual institutional visits.
