BRICS and the balance in current international relations: Interview with Ana Garcia for the Chinese media outlet Xinhua

Ana Garcia, professor and general coordinator of the BRICS Policy Center, gave an interview to the Xinhua Agency on August 11 about the bloc’s current attempt to build consensus among its member countries. The professor also spoke about cooperation between BRICS members, and said that “BRICS needs to create institutions and common spaces where there is technology transfer, development of vaccines, development of technologies for sustainable growth and energy transition, development of programs and policies that can help, for example, to improve and increase agricultural productivity to also mitigate food crises and not just the climate crisis”.
