BRICS and COP30: Dilemmas and Opportunities for Climate and Nature Financing

The Igarapé Institute and the BRICS Policy Center will host the event “BRICS and COP30: Dilemmas and Opportunities for Climate and Nature Financing” on May 23 in Rio de Janeiro.

The event will discuss the BRICS countries’ stance on climate financing in dialogue with COP30, guided by key questions and exchanges between academia, civil society, and government representatives.

The goal is to contribute to strengthening the socio-environmental agenda within BRICS, supporting the bloc’s commitments to the COP30 process, and reinforcing climate governance.
