The BRICS Policy Center (PUC-Rio), in partnership with the Global South Research Center (China) and in dialogue with the China Institute for Knowledge Development (CIKD), has just published the report “Industrial Policy and International Cooperation: Brazil’s Opportunities and Challenges in the Face of New International Trends”. This publication is part of a broader series of comparative reports on countries of the Global South, available on the GSRC platform, which analyzes different national trajectories of industrial policy and international cooperation.

In the Brazilian case, the report examines the opportunities and challenges of industrial policy in a scenario marked by global transformations, geopolitical tensions, energy transition, and reconfiguration of global value chains, with special attention to the possibilities of international cooperation.

The study was prepared by Marta Fernández, Ana Saggioro Garcia, Maria Elena Rodriguez, and Lucas Carames, researchers at the BRICS Policy Center / PUC-Rio.
