BPC Monitor: “The BRICS in the G20: from reformist consensus to individualization of agendas”

The BRICS Policy Center’s BPC Monitor project has just published the article “The BRICS in the G20: from reformist consensus to the individualization of agendas”. The document examines the evolution of the BRICS strategy for the G20, from the 2008 financial crisis to the 18th G20 Summit in New Delhi (2023). An overview is given, from the initial ideas of the bloc, through the process of individualization of agendas, to the expansion of the group. This version of the BPC Monitor then seeks to clarify the position of the BRICS member countries within the multilateralism of the G20.
