BPC Agenda at the G20
The G20 Summit, with the meeting of heads of state, will take place on the 18th and 19th, but until then, there will be an intense program, with experts from around the world debating the key issues of the meeting. Through its researchers, the BRICS Policy Center is participating in about 20 activities starting from Friday (November 8).
There will be various meetings, seminars, launches, among other events, where topics proposed in the policy briefs prepared by the researchers will be discussed – the policy recommendations delivered to heads of state based on scientific evidence. This is the result of a year of work since Brazil was announced as the host.
The highlight of the calendar is the T20 Summit, the event of the G20 engagement group that brings together think tanks and research centers from the economic forum. The meeting will take place on Monday (November 11) and Tuesday (November 12), and the BPC plays an essential role, having co-led Task Force 3 and contributed to the policy briefs of Task Forces 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
The BPC also had activities accepted by the groundbreaking G20 Social initiative, the part of the official event dedicated to society. In addition, the organization is present in the agenda independently organized by civil society at the People’s Summit.
