The Socio-Environmental Platform was present at the BRICS Civil Forum, an official space for the participation of BRICS civil society within the framework of the grouping. On July 4 and 5, in Rio de Janeiro, there was a Special Session of the People’s Council, which included panel discussions and the approval of the BRICS Recommendations Guide.

The Platform contributed recommendations to Task Force 3 on Ecology and discussed the environmental crisis, climate justice and alternatives for sustainable development during the forum.
