Luciana Servo

Dr. Luciana Mendes Santos Servo has been a public servant at the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea) since 1998. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP), with a specialization in health economics. Throughout her career at Ipea, she has authored numerous studies on
health financing and expenditure, healthcare accounts, monitoring and analysis of public health policies, as well as labor market and regional economics. Dr. Servo has also led and coordinated various policy evaluation projects, including those under the Federal Council for Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Policies (CMAP).Since February 2023, she has been serving as the President of Ipea
