
Jamil Chade
Journalist and writer; crossing borders with refugees, interviewing Nobel Prize winners, covering elections, summits of heads of state, conclaves or immersing himself in mega sporting events, Jamil Chad has witnessed part of the events that have marked the last 25 years.
Having traveled to more than 70 countries, the São Paulo journalist currently lives in New York and is a columnist for UOL and ICL Notícias.
Chad is the author of ten books, three of which were finalists for the Jabuti Prize. He won the Nicolas Bouvier prize in Switzerland and was twice voted the best Brazilian correspondent abroad by Comunique-se.
Chade was also part of the research team for the National Truth Commission, is an ambassador for the Adus Institute, a member of the OAB-SP Freedom of Expression Commission, a member of the Memory, Truth and Justice research group at IEA-USP and an advisor to the Vladimir Herzog Institute.
