The Director of the BPC, Marta Fernández, participated in the program Cartas Sobre La Mesa

The director of the BRICS Policy Center, Marta Fernández, participated in the program Cartas Sobre La Mesa, hosted and moderated by Luis Castro, during the G20 summit.

The meeting focused on discussions about Brazil’s foreign policy and its challenges and also featured participation from UERJ professor Paulo Afonso Velasco and UFRRJ professor Pablo Ibanez.

Marta Fernández highlighted the new stance of Brazilian foreign policy under President Lula’s administration, with Brazil taking on an international leadership role by hosting events such as the G20, the BRICS summit, and, in the future, COP30. According to her, addressing issues such as hunger and sustainability brings the population closer to global discussions.
