Save the date: Sustainable commodities for climate, nature and people: Learning from the past, investing in the future
The BRICS Policy Center, the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), the Global Environmental Institute (China), and the Future Horizons Institute (Norway) invite students, researchers, journalists, and other interested parties in the discussions of the T20, a group of engagement of think tanks and research centers of the G20, to the event “Sustainable commodities: Learning from the Past, Investing in the Future.”
The T20 parallel event will take place on October 15 and 16, from 9 AM to 12 PM, and will feature government officials to discuss current issues regarding sustainability and social inclusion in the trade of agricultural and mineral commodities, aiming to contribute to food security and climate action.
The two days of events will include a group of high-profile speakers. On the first day, a panel will feature Dr. Marcelo Morandi (EMBRAPA), Dr. Wang Yi (Member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China), and H.E. Odd Magne Ruud, Ambassador of Norway to Brazil. The second day of the event will include a workshop with Professor Xu Siyuan (Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, China) and Professor John Wilkinson (CPDA/UFRRJ, Brazil).
