On November 21, 2023, the BRICS Policy Center and the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) met at Casas Casadas, BPC headquarters. The meeting was attended by Lies Lauwers, Alex Shankland and Lidia Cabral representing IDS and Carlos Frederico Coelho, Ana Garcia and Lia Lopes for BPC. During the meeting, they discussed details of the partnership being negotiated between PUC-Rio and IDS, which envisages the signing of a cooperation agreement that will enable MAPI students to exchange to a foreign institution. They also identified common agendas between the BPC and IDS and the possibility of organizing joint events.
