Professors Paulo Esteves and Ana Garcia participated in the workshop “Advancing Global Public Investment (GPI)”, promoted by Wilton Park and Equal International, during June 5th, 6th and 7th. The High Level Thought Leaders Working Group was convened to revisit and debate the concept and implementation of GPI. The BRICS Policy Center supported the production of the briefing paper “Addressing 21st Century Challenges: Global Public Investments for Common Good (GPI-CG)”, authored by Professor Paulo Esteves, in partnership with Khalil Elouardighi (Equal International) and Giulia Carneiro (Equal International), and available at BPC’s publications.

During the same trip, Professor Ana Garcia attended the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) / University of Sussex, a BPC partner, and held a seminar entitled “BRICS and the outlook for Brazil and China relations”.
