Observatory of Subnational Actors: Maranhão

Continuing with the series of studies published by the Observatory of Subnational Actors of the Socio-Environmental Platform, this research focuses its efforts on an analysis of the legislation, environmental legal norms and climate policies verified in the state of Maranhão between the years 2008 and 2020. The Observatory’s series of publications aims to examine the contribution of Brazilian federative units in terms of polycentric climate governance, with this study emphasizing possible interconnections arising from Maranhão’s legislations and initiatives established in the socio-environmental sphere.
