Sérgio Veloso dos Santos Júnior
Researcher / BRICS-Urbe
Sérgio Veloso is a professor of International Relations at PUC-Rio and project coordinator at the BRICS Policy Center. He holds a PhD in International Relations from PUC-Rio and a Master’s in International Relations from PUC-Rio and Cultural Studies from the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. In addition, he has a Bachelor’s / Degree in History from UFJF in Juiz de Fora. Since 2011, Sérgio Veloso has been developing research on urban issues, especially the right to the city, having led the BRICS-Urbe program since 2013. Recently, he has also focused on studying topics related to technology and society, focusing on tobacco and social media, as well as monitoring the tobacco industry.
