BRICS and Climate: Challenges and Perspectives in Global Governance

In partnership with PUC-Rio, iCS was invited to participate in a professional practice course with students from the Professional Master’s in Analysis and Management of International Policies: Conflict Resolution and Cooperation for Development (MAPI). In the second semester of 2024, students Flavia Joanna Almeida, Hannah de Gregorio Leão, and Laryssa Nunes developed the study “BRICS and Climate: Challenges and Perspectives in Global Governance,” under the guidance of Lucca Rizzo, Senior Specialist Leader in Climate Finance at iCS. The research analyzes the climate commitments of BRICS countries and how BRICS has addressed climate change within the bloc, providing recommendations on topics that could be discussed in this forum in 2025, under Brazil’s presidency.
