In an interview with Sputnik Brasil, the BPC’s Deputy Director, Maria Elena Rodriguez, spoke about Brazil’s role in BRICS, particularly its position regarding the New Development Bank (NDB), the BRICS Bank. The professor emphasized that Brazil needs to seek diversity in its external financing sources. Since Brazil has a high deficit in the infrastructure sector, aid from abroad is welcome, with the BRICS Bank being a great option as it does not impose conditionalities.
