{"id":7795,"date":"2016-11-22T17:26:50","date_gmt":"2016-11-22T19:26:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devbrq.fazti.com.br\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=7795"},"modified":"2018-08-30T17:28:34","modified_gmt":"2018-08-30T20:28:34","slug":"the-role-of-brics-in-the-evolution-of-the-new-environmental-governance","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/bricspolicycenter.org\/en\/eventos\/the-role-of-brics-in-the-evolution-of-the-new-environmental-governance\/","title":{"rendered":"The Role of BRICS in the Evolution of the New Environmental Governance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On\u00a0<strong>November 22nd and 23rd, 2016<\/strong>, the seminar\u00a0<strong>\u201cThe Role of BRICS in the Evolution of the New Environmental Governance\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0will be held at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.puc-rio.br\/english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PUC-Rio<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s\u00a0<strong>audit\u00f3rio B8<\/strong>\u00a0(auditorium B8), located on the\u00a0<strong>8th floor of the Frings building.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The event is co-organized by the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iri.puc-rio.br\/en.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Institute of International Relations of PUC-Rio<\/a><\/strong>, by the\u00a0<strong>BRICS Policy Center<\/strong>\u00a0and its\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bricspolicycenter.org\/homolog\/projetos\/Index\/17\" target=\"_self\">Socioenvironmental Platform<\/a><\/strong>, by the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fes.org.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES)<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and by the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gip.net.br\/novo\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Public Interest Management (GIP)<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop\u2019s main goal is to discuss and analyze the global environmental governance accordingly to the news that come from the Paris Agreement and, by doing this, to think about the role of emerging countries and of private initiative.
