The event is based on the work of\u00a0<strong>D\u00e9bora Terra<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(Universidade de Lisboa)<\/strong>, a visiting researcher at BPC through the program\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.primo-itn.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Power and Region in a Multipolar World (PRIMO)<\/a><\/strong>. The colloquium will have the participation of\u00a0<strong>Prof. Andrea Ribeiro Hoffmann<\/strong>, from the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iri.puc-rio.br\/en.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Relations Institute of PUC-Rio<\/a><\/strong>, as discussant.<\/p>\n<p>Considering the current world order and its transformations, particularly the Brazilian domestic scenario, the external\u00a0<strong>perceptions<\/strong>\u00a0become relevant and\u00a0<strong>can be used to legitimate Brazil&#8217;s role in the world scenario.<\/strong>\u00a0Through this perspective, D\u00e9bora Terra will discuss the main themes related to the ideia of perceptions, including<strong>\u00a0what perceptions really are<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>how they can relate fo International Relations and the Foreign Policy<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>how they help in the comprehension of Brazil in the international scenario.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The colloquium will be held in<em><strong>\u00a0Portuguese<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0and there will be no simultaneus translation.<\/p>\n<p>Seats are limited and we kindly ask you to R.S.V.P. to:\u00a0<strong>bpc@bricspolicycenter.org<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The BRICS Policy Center is located at\u00a0<strong>Rua Dona Mariana, 63, Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro &#8211; RJ<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The BRICS Policy Center has the pleasure to invite to the colloquium &#8220;O Poder das Percep\u00e7\u00f5es e o Brasil no Cen\u00e1rio Internacional&#8221;, to be held on April 11th, 2017, at 4 p.m at the Center&#8217;s library.
