{"id":7725,"date":"2017-06-05T15:18:37","date_gmt":"2017-06-05T18:18:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devbrq.fazti.com.br\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=7725"},"modified":"2018-08-30T15:20:53","modified_gmt":"2018-08-30T18:20:53","slug":"kashmir-situation-and-indo-china-relation","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/bricspolicycenter.org\/en\/eventos\/kashmir-situation-and-indo-china-relation\/","title":{"rendered":"Kashmir situation and Indo-China relation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On<strong>\u00a0June 5th, 2017<\/strong>, the\u00a0<strong>BRICS Policy Center<\/strong>\u00a0will hold the colloquium\u00a0<strong>\u201cKashmir situation and Indo-China relation\u201d<\/strong>, with the visitor<strong>\u00a0Showkat Shafi (Al Jazeera)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bricspolicycenter.org\/homolog\/sobre_equipe_academica\/details\/225\" target=\"_self\">S\u00e9rgio Veloso<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0as discussant.<\/p>\n<p>The colloquium will be structured in\u00a0<strong>two blocks<\/strong>, in the first one Shafi will talk about the Kashmir Conflict in depth, approaching\u00a0<strong>(i)<\/strong>\u00a0Indian independence and the impact on Kashmir,\u00a0<strong>(ii)<\/strong>\u00a0the rise of militancy,\u00a0<strong>(iii)<\/strong>\u00a0the post 2000 era, more specifically public uprisings in Kashmir and new-age militancy and, finally,\u00a0<strong>(iv)<\/strong>\u00a0the present situation and human rights violation.<\/p>\n<p>In the second part of the presentation, Shafi will give an overview on the India-China relations, talking about\u00a0<strong>(i)<\/strong>\u00a0the immediate relations after independence of both countries,<strong>\u00a0(ii)<\/strong>\u00a0border disputes,\u00a0<strong>(iii)<\/strong>\u00a0China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>We kindly ask you to R.S.V.P. to<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>atendimento@bricspolicycenter.org<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The colloquium will be held at BPC\u2019s library at 4 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The event will be held in English and there will be no simultaneous translation.
