{"id":9128,"date":"2018-10-31T17:05:21","date_gmt":"2018-10-31T20:05:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bricspolicycenter.org\/?p=9128"},"modified":"2018-10-31T17:05:21","modified_gmt":"2018-10-31T20:05:21","slug":"the-economic-expansion-of-china-and-its-impact-on-the-global-economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bricspolicycenter.org\/en\/the-economic-expansion-of-china-and-its-impact-on-the-global-economy\/","title":{"rendered":"The Economic Expansion of China and Its Impact on the Global Economy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On October 24th, 2018, the BRICS Policy Center, in partnership with the Consulate General of Japan in Rio de Janeiro, hosted the seminar \u201cThe Economic Expansion of China and Its Impact on the Global Economy\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture was given by Professor Tomoo Marukawa, from the University of Tokyo, who lived in China for many years and, in his research, compares China\u2019s rising to Japan\u2019s in the decade of 1970.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar aimed to discuss the change in China\u2019s status in international finance and the country\u2019s increasing engagement in the economic development of emerging economies, which are becoming more and more dependent on trade relations with China.
