{"id":4787,"date":"2016-09-01T17:03:57","date_gmt":"2016-09-01T20:03:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devbrq.fazti.com.br\/?p=4787"},"modified":"2018-04-10T17:05:55","modified_gmt":"2018-04-10T20:05:55","slug":"making-a-case-for-climate-finance-with-cash-transfer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bricspolicycenter.org\/en\/making-a-case-for-climate-finance-with-cash-transfer\/","title":{"rendered":"MAKING A CASE FOR CLIMATE FINANCE WITH CASH TRANSFER"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><\/h5>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/riopluscentre.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNDP Rio+<\/a><\/strong>, with support of the\u00a0<strong>BRICS Policy Center<\/strong>, organized two\u00a0<strong>technical meetings<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>August 29th and 30th, 2016.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The event was realized at\u00a0<strong>BPC\u00b4s office in Botafogo<\/strong>\u00a0and its objective was to discuss\u00a0<strong>methodological innovations<\/strong>\u00a0that support the integration between climate finance and the Cash Transfer System (CTs).\u00a0<strong>The overall project aim to<\/strong>\u00a0assess the strengths and weaknesses of current Cash Transfer in the Sahel and the Horn of Africa, to map new sources of financing opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>In an effort to boost\u00a0<strong>South-South cooperation<\/strong>, the meeting also provided the share of information on Cash Transfer based on Brazil\u2019s experience with social protection and cash transfers.
