The Global & Public Health research program at the BRICS Policy Center\/PUC-Rio will host the webinar \u201cGlobal and Public Health: What Does This Mean in Practice?\u201d on July 3 at 10 a.m., bringing together researchers and professionals in the field. The discussion will be guided by the question posed in the title, starting from a common point of departure: health production and innovation.<\/p>\n
The panelists will address the relationship between health and development; the role of international organizations, particularly the WHO and BRICS; and the contribution of the Global South to the dissemination of new norms and practices in global health governance, in contrast to those of the Northwest, whose countries have historically been the primary shapers of and greatest beneficiaries of normative power.<\/p>\n
Thus, the webinar promotes an open and informed discussion on concrete and ongoing initiatives within the scope of this governance, which uses equitable access as a benchmark for innovative forms of international cooperation.<\/p>\n
