Throughout the episode, Pedro explains that the Arctic region holds about 13% of the planet’s unexplored oil reserves and 25% of its unexplored natural gas, in addition to the projected existence of strategic minerals in Greenland. This scenario places the Arctic at the center of geopolitical disputes involving, above all, the US and Russia, whose domestic and international strategies include the region as a priority source of resources and exploration.<\/p>\n
