\u201cWhen it comes to climate finance, the focus is usually only on mitigation and adaptation. But this is far removed from the debates of civil society, from the territories, from Indigenous peoples, from traditional communities. The focus must shift so that this funding truly reaches those most impacted\u2014who also bear no responsibility\u2014and supports the fight against inequality, which is the core of the climate justice issue,\u201d said Maureen Santos, professor of International Relations at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and coordinator of the Socio-Environmental Platform at the BRICS Policy Center.<\/p>\n
