In an interview with the newspaper O Globo<\/em>, BRICS Policy Center researcher Carlos Frederico Coelho discussed the tensions caused by Israel’s recent attack on Iran. The professor\u2019s comments help to understand what to expect in terms of potential global economic consequences and how they affect Brazil.<\/p>\n

In particular, he highlights the issue of oil. As a reference price, it is certain that it will impact inflation in countries overall. This is especially harmful to Brazil\u2019s finances, given that it increases inflationary pressure in the country, as well as affecting the recovery of President Lula’s approval rating.<\/p>\n
