In partnership with The Conversation Brasil, a news platform resulting from collaboration between academics and journalists, our researchers at the BRICS Policy Center will launch a series of articles about BRICS.<\/p>\n
Kicking off the partnership, Maria Elena Rodriguez, Marta Fernandez, and Renan Canellas authored the article titled: “Understanding BRICS: How a Mere Economic Acronym Evolved into an Increasingly Relevant Global Grouping.” In this article, the researchers reflect on the group’s trajectory from the moment it was labeled \u2018BRIC\u2019 to its emergence as a geopolitical and economic power, highlighting Brazil\u2019s role as an increasingly relevant player in this context.<\/p>\n
