In an article by O Globo<\/em> about the BRICS Foreign Ministers\u2019 Meeting, the experts commented on some key points that will be addressed during Brazil\u2019s Presidency of BRICS.<\/p>\n

Marta Fern\u00e1ndez pointed out that Brazil has been seeking to consolidate a proactive agenda for the Global South, based on the defense of multilateralism and South-South cooperation. However, it is necessary to preserve and revitalize some international institutions such as the WHO, the UN, and the WTO.<\/p>\n

Ana Garcia reflected that Brazil\u2019s agenda is somewhat accelerated, as it will shift its focus to COP30 starting in the second half of this year. Furthermore, reducing dependence on the dollar will not be the main focus; instead, Brazil will concentrate on expanding trade, which represents “great potential for Brazil,” she affirms.<\/p>\n
