The Forum is an official annual event that precedes the BRICS Summit in the host country and has as main objective to strengthen the dialogue with civil society. The two-day virtual meeting was organized by the China NGO Network for International Exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>The general coordinator of the BRICS Policy Center, Dr. Ana Garcia, participated in the opening plenary of the Forum on May 19th, 2022.<br \/>\nIn addition to the BRICS Policy Center, other civil society organizations, partners of the BPC, also participated in the event.<br \/>\nBelow are the main themes addressed in the debate:<br \/>\n\u2013 In session 1. \u201cStrengthening people-to-people cooperation to improve people\u2019s livelihood and well-being\u201d, with Juliana Cesar, from Gestos.<br \/>\n\u2013 In session 2, \u201cUpholding multilateralism in global governance\u201d counted with the participation of Adhemar Mineiro, from REBPIP.<br \/>\n\u2013 In session 3, \u201cFacilitating people-to-people exchanges to enhance people-to-people connectivity\u201d, Professor Sergio Veloso, BPC\u2019s research coordinator, made his contribution.<\/p>\n<p>The BRICS Forum of Political Parties, Think Tanks and Civil Society Organizations was co-organized by the China Council for BRICS Think Tank Cooperation and the Chinese NGO Network for International Exchange, under the guidance of the International Department of the Central Committee.
